Sophie 1.0.3 (build 31) is finally out - go to download to download it. There are an enormous number of bug fixes in this and some new functionality as well: we recommend it. There's also updated documentation.

We've just uploaded a new tutorial about how to create and use page templates in Sophie. You can use page templates to easily create complicated books – the tutorial explains what you need to know.

We've added a tutorial on using timelines to the tutorials page. It explains the basics of using timelines in Sophie books – enjoy!

We've been having some server trouble, so you might not have noticed that we released version 1.0.1, which cleared up a couple of minor bugs in 1.0. Unfortunately, 1.0.1 introduced a new bug of it's own; that's been cleared up, and now 1.0.2 is available for download.

At this writing, there's still something wrong with downloading the Windows version; we hope to have that cleared up very soon.

There's a new tutorial on the tutorials page on getting started in Sophie. It covers the basics of the Sophie interface, how to get resources into Sophie, and making your first Sophie book. We hope it's helpful . . .

Sophie 1.0 is out now: go to the download page to download it. There's also updated documentation and demo books. For a list of bugs in Sophie 1.0 that we know and about and are working on fixing, you can go to the known problems page.

Another day, another release candidate: download RC16. There's documentation to go with it, and a new video over in the tutorials section that explains spellchecking.
